Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy explains the activities that are permitted and prohibited when using Todoal. By accessing or using Todoal, you agree to follow this policy and our Terms of Service.
1. Permitted Use
Todoal is designed for personal productivity and planning. You may use Todoal to:
- Create and manage tasks
- Create recurring reminders
- Manage goals
- Organize daily activities
- Receive scheduled productivity emails
- Track your personal progress
- Use other features provided by Todoal for lawful purposes
You are responsible for your use of the service and the information you submit to your account.
2. Prohibited Activities
You must not use Todoal to:
- Break or attempt to break applicable laws or regulations
- Access another user's account or data without authorization
- Attempt to bypass authentication or security controls
- Circumvent Free or Pro usage limits
- Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or weaknesses in Todoal
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract proprietary source code
- Interfere with Todoal servers, infrastructure, APIs, or databases
- Perform denial of service attacks or intentionally overload the service
- Use automated scripts, bots, or other systems to generate abusive traffic
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Supabase, Firebase, Paddle, email systems, or other third-party infrastructure
- Probe, scan, or test Todoal systems for vulnerabilities without authorization
- Introduce malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful code
- Submit content designed to compromise the security or operation of the service
- Abuse email notification functionality
- Use Todoal to send spam or unsolicited communications
- Attempt to manipulate subscription status, billing information, or payment systems
- Create fraudulent accounts or use false information to circumvent restrictions
- Scrape substantial amounts of Todoal data
- Collect or attempt to collect information about other users without authorization
- Use Todoal to facilitate fraud, scams, harassment, or other unlawful activity
3. Email Abuse
Todoal Pro may provide scheduled email notifications. You must not use Todoal to abuse the email system or attempt to generate excessive automated emails. Attempts to circumvent email limits or schedule protections, including repeatedly modifying schedules to generate additional emails, are prohibited. Todoal may automatically restrict email functionality when suspicious activity or abuse is detected.
4. Security Testing
You must not perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, automated security testing, or similar activity against Todoal without prior written authorization. If you discover a security vulnerability, you should report it responsibly to contact@todoal.com.
5. Content Responsibility
You are responsible for the information and content you store or submit through Todoal. You must not intentionally use Todoal to store or transmit content that violates applicable laws or infringes the rights of others. Todoal does not claim ownership of your personal productivity content.
6. Automated Access
Automated access is permitted only when expressly authorized by Todoal. You must not use bots, scripts, crawlers, or automated systems to circumvent usage limits, generate excessive requests, extract data at scale, create fraudulent accounts, abuse APIs, or interfere with normal service operation.
7. Abuse Prevention
Todoal may use technical controls including rate limiting, authentication controls, usage limits, monitoring, and automated security mechanisms to protect the service. These controls may operate without advance notice when necessary to prevent abuse or protect users.
8. Enforcement
If we determine or reasonably suspect that an account is violating this Acceptable Use Policy, we may:
- Warn the user
- Restrict specific features
- Limit API or email functionality
- Temporarily suspend the account
- Permanently terminate the account
- Block abusive traffic
- Preserve relevant security information where legally permitted
- Take other reasonable measures necessary to protect Todoal and its users
9. Reporting Abuse
If you believe someone is abusing Todoal or violating this policy, contact contact@todoal.com.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy when our service, technology, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.
